Does Petrichor remove urine odor, and is it fragrance-free?
Petrichor is a scented male dog wrap that releases a fresh smell when wet and helps manage urine odor. It is not fragrance-free, and a fresh smell does not mean the wrap is dry or ready for continued wear. Replace wet wraps promptly. If your dog has reacted to scented products, ask your veterinarian about a suitable alternative.
What size Petrichor male dog wrap should I buy?
Measure around your dog's waist in front of the hind legs. The currently offered sizes are S for 12–18 inches and M for 18–23.5 inches. Use this product's waist ranges rather than a size letter from another style. Confirm that the wrap covers the urinary opening, stays in place during movement and does not pinch.
Why does my dog's belly band leak or slide off?
A wrap may leak if the absorbent area shifts away from the urinary opening, the edges gap or the wrap needs changing. Recheck the waist measurement, center the absorbent panel and adjust both sides evenly. If a fresh wrap still slips, reassess its size and cut instead of tightening it until it leaves marks.
How often should I change the wrap, and can it last overnight?
Check frequently and replace the wrap as soon as it is wet or soiled. This product has no verified all-night wear-time guarantee. Overnight use requires checks and changes based on your dog's urine output and skin condition. Gently clean soiled skin, dry it before fitting a fresh wrap and provide diaper-free breaks. Remove the wrap and consult your veterinarian if irritation persists.
Can male dog wraps hold poop or work for female dogs?
Male dog wraps cover the urinary opening on the underside of a male dog's belly. They do not cover the anus, contain stool or provide the rear coverage needed for female heat discharge. Choose a full diaper designed for the intended use and your dog's anatomy when rear coverage is needed.
