HoneyCare® Tea Cat Litter
I was sensing a bit of an odor situation from my cats' little box and tried some of this out. It seems to have helped, I started with blending a bit of it into their existing littler and they haven't flinched at using it like normal.Overall it seems to perform as well as the other litter I've been using, and the scent is pleasant and mild. Does a good job absorbing liquid.
This cat litter rocks. Unlike clay litter, it isn't dusty and it clumps up in seconds. It smells GREAT, too!! We're so pleased with how well it works. It seems plenty absorbent. Our cat usually tracks litter through the house, but this stuff doesn't go nearly as far. It's easy to sweep and put back in the box. A 6 lb bag is good for one litter refill, so you might be better off getting the larger size for more value.
I find this cat litter to be pretty useful. It smells very nice right out of the bag given its tea nature. Out of the bag I found that it was fairly dusty, but once the cat was going in and out of the litter box, I didn't see much of it tracking behind. I like that it uses natural ingredients rather than some crystal rocks. The small bag is just enough for a single box refill. Over time it seems to clump up pretty well after the cat visits the box. A single bag is definitely plenty for around 2-3 weeks, if you have a single cat. We left a bit of the old litter on the bottom of the tray initially just for the cat to get used to it, and it seemed to work.My only complaint is particle size - most scoopers are made for smaller, grainy litter fillers, while this one uses fairly large pellets that have a harder time going through most scoopers/sifters. So do watch out and be prepared to potentially buy a new one.Edit - seems to only work for around 2 weeks or so, then it starts smelling worse. And we tried cleaning the litter box 2x per day, and we have 2 boxes, only one with this tea litter. Only this one seems to have a strong, pungent smell.
I purchased this litter for my two cats. Both of my cats are over 3 years old.I'm using (Kitty Sift Disposable litter box). I've been using this litter box for a few months now and I'm happy with it. The litter DOES NOT stick to the box. Prior to using this cat litter, I used "Almo Nature, Unscented plant based clumping litter". That particular litter sticks to the litter box and makes a mess everywhere. The granules tend to get all over, making your cleaning day a little longer. I am also using (Watersay Disposable Cat Litter Scoops) and again, the litter DOES NOT stick. Most importantly, the litter has a natural tea scent to it. I'm happy with the product and will continue to buy again.
First of all, I love it. I'd love it more if it were less expensive. The 6lb package barely covers the bottom of our large litter box. I'm shocked how well it clumps. It does though. The smell has been better with this litter than any other we've tried. The biggest advantage of this to me is that not one bit of litter has come out of the box, None. My only complaint is that sifting with a scoop is difficult. The particles are so large, the clean particles hardly go through the slots in the scoop. Most of the time, I end up tossing a lot of clean litter - and as I said, it's costly. Will I keep using it? I think so, it will definitely cost more but I think it's worth it.
