HoneyCare Cassava Cat Litter
This kitty litter smells nice at first and does a great job of clumping up urine, leaving the litter box clean and free of leftover wet spots. Iâll definitely buy this again â Iâve never found a litter that clumps so well and doesnât leave a mess behind! Cleaning up the poop is straightforward, but pee has always been the issue with litter boxes, often leaving some behind. Normally, youâd have to change the litter more frequently, but with this litter, the clumping is so effective that you donât have to replace it every day â it just needs to be scooped out daily and freshened up as needed.
This cassava litter does an excellent job at controlling odors and it seems to clump well. It lasts longer than traditional litters and the package says you only need to change out the entire litter box every 3-4 weeks, which is wonderful. However, as far as higher-end cat litters go, I have been spoiled by tofu cat litters. They are typically a comparable price, and although this litter is advertised as low dust, tofu litters are literally no dust and they clump just as well, if not better, while lasting just as long. One of my cats has a cough and reducing dust from litter is a priority for me, so if I were given the choice between this and a tofu litter, I would absolutely choose the tofu litter. The tofu litters I've used have also had a soft, pleasant, almost vanilla scent, while this one has no notable fragrance. Whether that's a pro or con for you will depend on what you're looking for in a litter. I do recommend this over traditional litters, but I'd go with a tofu if you're looking for long-lasting, strongly clumping, dust-free litter.
I find this one more convenient than the usual gray litter I used before. It produces very little dust and doesnât have that strong, unpleasant smell. I use it with my stainless steel litter box, and it doesnât stick to the bottom, which makes cleanup easier compared to my old litter. My cat doesnât seem to mind it at all, so Iâm pretty happy with the switch.
The cat litter was acceptable to my cats. They were hesitant at first to use it, but eventually they did. The litter didnât have an unpleasant smell or a lot of dust that I noticed. It clumped well so clean up was easy. I am happy with it.
Not bad, seems to clump about as well as the name brand stuff. It's unscented, which I like, as cats don't really like litter that is scented.Just because it smells good to you doesn't mean it smells good to them.Price-wise, it's not cheap. On average, a 40-pound bag of the cheapest clumping litter costs $12â17, while premium non-tracking brands have an average cost of about $20.This stuff is ~15 for 6lbs.So take from that what you will.
